ITR sway w/BSQ kit rubs abs bracket...
i was just changing my suspension and i noticed that my itr sway bar was rubbing the abs bracket that connects on the LCA. it created a small dent on both the bracket and the sway bar.
am i the only one who has this problem?
i was thinking of adding another backing plate to space the bar further back.

seems good to me. ive heard some peeps on this board have been doing this to avoid the problem your having.

My ABS lines are firmly attached to the mounting points and do not appear to rub. I'll have a closer look tonight to be sure.

but when you jack up the car, the LCA moves pretty far away from the sway bar.

I never really looked under there since I installed it over a year ago. I will check it out when I get home.

Oh crap, I just looked and mine and they are rubbing on my car too. Anybody have any good suggestions yet?
I don't really like the idea of flipping the ABS bracket down, it would put the wire closer to the ground, and it would not have the protection of being snug up against the LCA (it would hang down exposed, could possibly catch on something).

doesn't look like a big deal to me. that's not going to puncture your abs line or affect anything that much. if you're really concerned about it just unbolt it and zip tie it on the lca a little lower down.

I actually noticed the same problem on my set up. Most people that do this mod probably have the same problem, they just haven't noticed it yet. I first noticed the problem when I was installing my Benen lower tie and I saw some paint rubbed off the bottom inside of the swaybar. I dremeled some material off the ABS bracket, that helped some, but I think it still rubs. So next step is either to remove the bracket, put some spacers on the swaybar mounting bracket, or to just live with it. But I haven't decided yet, it's just so damn hot now to work on my car
