[B]wat do i need to make my stock 92 dx civic engine a soch vtech cuz my friend got his car hit in the rear and wants to sell me his engine cuz its a single cam vtech ...do i just need the head and ecu or wat i dunno and how do i convert it does anyone have pictures or instructions on how to do it.........also wat can i do to a soch vtech to make it fast and not spend a lot of money in other words cheap upgrades cuz i rather build that up than go with a full engine swap like everyone else(sorry but i like to be a lil different)

 

Welcome to H-T. Sorry I can't answer your SOHC problems. I'm learning. But I think that's right.

If the motor is in good cond. Buy the whole kit and kabootle from him for no more than $500. I would say $250 and the junkyard will give him about that.

Cheap mods? If your motor is fine, leave it alone. If your going to boost it or do anything, vtec isnt going to make it a lick faster. Just boost the motor you have now by piecing together a homemade turbo kit.

It also sounds like you're fairly new at this. Spend a few months here being very active and then decide what you want to do. If anyone flames you ignore them and get someone elses opinion. Remember, Only you can prevent rice.
