Rebuilt Engine?
I've been reading through the AP1 vs AP2 threads and I think I'm getting an AP1.
I found an AP1 with 81k miles...WHICH IS A LOT OF MILES...for $13k (which is cheap as hell).
I wanted to buy an 04-05 with around 15k-20k miles but since I found such a cheap AP1...I figured I could simply rebuilt the engine.
My questions is: Would this be a smart move? I want to boost the **** outta the car...so the build would be good... I figured I'll get an older car for a great price...work on it and be fine.
Thoughts?...you guys are the pros...

81k miles isn't really that many miles... seriously. its a honda, the motor is built to last.
if youre going to heavily mod a car, you might as well start out with the cheaper platform to save and spend the other money on upgrades.
lastly, the s2000 motor stock comes with forged internals, and people have been able to get 500+whp out of the stock motor. the diff will be more of a worry than the engine will be.
