Surging problem after swap. Idle to 5000 rpms!!!!!
We just installed a h22a into a 92 civic. Ok I also have a venom box intake manifold installed. The IACV is connected to the wiring harness but we have not hooked up the colant lines to it nor have we provisioned a plate so that it can be hooked into the manifold some how. I have checked for vacume leaks, There is no codes. When we start up the car, it just reves up and down from idle to 5000 rpms. I am stumped.

check the fast idle valve underneath the throttle body, or attatched to the intake mani (not sure of the location on that gen h22. bypass it with a plate or crank the valve back in because you are leaking there, if your idle air control valve isn't the culprit. and triple check for an open vacuum source.
Well I am running a b18c1 throttlebody on the intake manifold. the h22 one was pretty chewed up. So your saying the hook up on the FITV that you would normally plug the water line into actually could be the vacum leak?

no if you take if off, you will see that it is a spring loaded valve. these things unscrew themselves all the time. if your iacv is good, and you have no open vac sources/leakes, then you need to tighten the fast idle valve screw in that gsr throttle body.
Ok I got to looking at my throttlebody. I don't have a Fitv on it. it must be 96 or newer but it does have 2 coolant hookups on the bottom of it. I capped them off. I have checked for vacume leaks, the IACV in connected to the wiring harness but not hooked up the the coolant or manifold (before anyone asks I am running a venom intake manifold that doesnt have provisions for the IACV to mount to). I still have the idle to 5000 rpm flucations. I also forgot to mention that I have installed 440 rc injectors with a chipped p28 with maps for 260cc stock injectors. Would that be causing that problem. Also if the tps and maps connectors were switched wouldn't there be a cell for the tps and map? I am not running any codes . Anyone else have any suggestions.
thanks

Ok well I have some RC 310cc injectors out of my friends integra. I will try them tonight. My p28 does throw codes. It threw a code 21 when we first started it up. I had the conector unplugged. I will swap out the injectors this evening, if that doesnt work I will swap out the TB with a known good one. I have looked over everything, I cannot find a vacume leak anywhere, every nut, bolt, gasket , fitting is tight.
I gotta get this peice running before we go to Maryland tomorrow for NOPI.

Also can someone give me discription of what the idle would be like under the circumstances when using a stock like ecu (260 cc injector tune) with a larger injector (440cc). I was reading some archive threads about that and they really didn't specify how thier motors were acting at idle.

Ok the problem is fixed!
Heres the low down. There was still some intake manifold gasket around the intake manifold studs closest to the tranny side and the manifold wasn't even close to making a nice tight seal. So we took intake mani off cleaned the rest of the old gasket off, put everything back together, all tightned down. The car now idles real nice at 800 rpms even with the RC 440 cc injectors.
thanks to all for idea's and sugestions

I currently have a chip from phearable for 440cc injectors. I am going to install the wide band this weekend and see how bad the maps really are. I just needed somthing to get the car moving around until I take it to the tuner
