Default H22a distributor help

Hi guys,

Been having dizzy troubles. Tried a friend's dizzy and the car starts fine so I assume my ICM has gone.

The thing is when I took the dizzy off I forgot to check which way the rotor was pointing.

I was just wondering if it does go in both ways or does it only go in one way?

If I do put it in the wrong way how can I tell? i.e idles rough?

Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure u can only put the rotor in 1 way, the side with threads to screw it into. Ur idle is probly rough because u didn't time it, each time u take ur dizzy off the timing is ganna be off, I suggest u mark it with a pen so u don't have to time it everytime. If u car doesn't start or have any spark with ur dizzy I'd check and replace the coil, only replace the ignitor (ICM) if ur tach was bouncing and car was bogging b4 it died.

yep it can only go in one way. the slot is slight thicker on one of the sides so you cant put it in 180 degrees backwards.
