My friend has been running ful advance in his 91 d16a6.
and i bumped mine up to full advance and only drove it once and it seem'd to run smoother.
is this safe for daily driving?

Full advanced ignition timing? So do you mean you got a timing light and set it at 18 degrees BTDC? Or you went out and just twisted the distributor foward till it wouldn't go any more? If you did it that way then you're probably running about 22-24 degrees advanced which wouldn't be a good thing.

I just twisted the **** all the way towards the firewall.
I marked where it was B4 so I could set it back if need be.
So I should set it back a tad?

Exactly, don't mess with it unless you have a timing light. You lose power advancing it that much, not to mention your probably getting pinging with it that far advanced.
