How Long Before your ISB Went out??
Just woundering, since my single cam tranny is making this noise, and I pin pointed it to be the Input shaft Bearing. Mide you the noise goes away for a sec and sounds nice then comes back quick 
Just wanted to know how long your tranny lasted making that scary noise before it went to crap??

it depends, its a bearing so depending on how the car is driven. if the car gets ripped from a stop very often, drag raced, shifted hard it will wear alot faster.
Under normal conditions, ive seen them last for the useful life of the car

my 94 ex coupe had over 300,000 miles on the same transmission, never skipped a beat..
well, until my mom drove it overheated and the engine seized, but other then that it was great!

Mine never went. I put almost 4k on the tranny AFTER I heard it, and never had it go on me, but I don't know that I'd recommend it. If the bearing does lose the cage, you're into a full tranny rebuild then.

humm...I just want me this tranny to last till tax time 
then ill sell the car, they'll swap a B in it, and we're all happy.
the tranny does shifts nice though, just that damn noise, makes me nervous.
when I cruise on the high way or stay at a constant speed, I wont hear it.

My friends has been making that noise for a couple of months, and he drives it to and from school probably 2 times a month(180 miles each direction). mine hasnt gone yet, and i hope it dosent. ive got 93K on mine.

Like Ricey said, I had one make noise for about 3 years and counting, to this day it still shifts like butta!! I sold the car to my buddy and he's to lazy to fix it.

took mine out of service after about 20k on a noisy isb tore the trans apart to overhaul found a lot of fillings on the magnet checked all the specs on things every thing checked okay just fragments from the isb replaced it and all is good. So a lot of it is just luck on how long things will hold together
