Default Insurance Question

If you change your motor, or swap out the block to run a ls/vtec and your car gets stolen, if the thefts just take the head and leave the block, does the insurance company check to make sure its a type R block. Will they give you a lower estimated value for the car. We dont want to run the stock motor boosted, but also dont want to get screwed if it gets stolen and the insurance company turns into a bitch.

WTH is "lowerest?"

Why not explain, in detail, how you want to insure the car to your insurance agaent?

What happens if the car does get stolen? Now your sitting on a stolen motor. So it would be smart to tell them that kind of information.

If you tell your insurance that you changed your motor, you'll find that they'll tell you to expletive off immediately.

So you're trying to get insurance info for a car that isn't even yours? Why bother worrying yourself with someone else's issue? Tell your friend's parents to call the insurance co. and ask them.

I don't understand how you're getting mixed up in anything here - it's his car and his parents insurance. Am I missing something?
