the whole bottle with a full tank of gas. Research it. There are several tricks to passing smog. Like retarding the timing, adjusting vavles etc.. I could go on forever and make a list.

What year, make, model is your car? Hondas don't have much for smog, most of the Hondas only have O2 sensor, catalytic converter and EGR(Accords). Does it have any CEL? Don't pour any of that substance crx1.8 was saying or any of that emissions **** in your gas, that's all B.S. I have a test only station in Ontario, Cal., but if you give me more info, I'll help you out as much as I can.

mine was real high, and i put a new cat on it (old one was dust..literally) and a new o2, iridium plugs, and new wires. new cap and rotor, new oil and filter. put preimium in it tiwce with some guarrentted to pass fro kragen, and i drove it hard on the freeway for the cat to heat up.. do that and the next day, drive it hard, then go straight to the smog place and DO NOT SHUT IT OFF. i had 0 nox and 0 hc comming out. ******* cleaner than a new car.

I am too a smogtech and I agree do not put any additives in the tank.
Run regular gas. Regular will ignite better and more complete.
We check the timing so that is not going to work either. Has to be + or- 2degrees from spec.
I believe the 1.5 has an EGR I believe this to be your problem.
Three things to check.
Vacuum to the EGR, EGR has movement, and last that the ports in the IM are not plugged. Depending which is your problem is what is next.

You should have 7in.hg. on the vacuum line to the egr at 2000rpm.
Movement would be applying 7in.hg. to the EGR valve with a vacuum pump.
Ports that is another thing, You can remove the EGR and look to see how caked the port is and that will give you an estimate of how the individual ports are.
And one more thing have you decarbonized the motor yet?

When you said test only did you mean test pipe? If so not having a cat is a VERY EASY way to fail smog.

No I have to take this car to a "TEST ONLY" smog station because it has a salvaged title. and I don't think this car has a EGR Valve..

You have to take your car to a "Test Only Station" because your vehicle has a high chance of failing. It's not because your title is salvage, it's also random(small %). I'm not sure if your car has an EGR system, but double check. Check out thesmogmans post, he knows what he's talking about. I know I'm not suppose to do this but if you decide to take your car down to my shop it's off the corner of Mission & Euclid, it's the Exxon gas station on your right if your heading North on Euclid. Anyways, if your car does'nt pass you don't pay.
