Default Cleaning IACV question

Went to clean my IACV and couldn't get the coolant hoses off. So I just cleaned it while still attached to the coolant lines. Is this bad in any way? Thanks

Also can the MAP sensor be cleaned?

Depends on what you used to clean it with. Anyway, the easiest way to get the hose off is to use big pair of pliers (like what you should use to remove those metal clips). Take the pliers and put it on the end of the hose and rock it back and forth till it moves freely. Then just pull it right off

I usually get a flathead screwdriver and get under the hose just to break the seal and then kind of wiggle it. Just be carefull not to dig into the hose.
