B18c1 Into 97 civic EX...Having problems with VSS, Rev Limiter, Overall Performance
I just put a gsr motor into my civic, I drove the car directly before i took it out of the integra, it was very strong and very fast. I now have it in my civic and am experiencing some problems. The car idles high (1500) but the vacuum hoses are all connected. My speedometer isnt working but ive tried everything on my civic harness that will go onto the VSS on the GSR tranny.I believe this is why i am hitting a rev limitor earlier than what is normal because the computer thinks the car is sitting still. I have taken the civic for some test drives, it goes into vtec and everything, but the car just doesnt pull anything like it did in the teg. I noticed that the teg motor doesnt have a O2 sensor on the header. (not sure if they even come with one). I also noticed that i am missing a plug for the sensor that is on the left side down by the crank pulley. I switched the ECU to the p78 just incase you were gonna ask. Also the car doesnt miss sputter or anything, i actually drove it for about 15 miles and it seemed fine but just didnt have the same amount of power that it did have in the teg. Any suggestions on what this could be. Thanks
