Default WTF is wrong with my car 60ft's are terrible with traction bars w/severe wheel hop???

Somebody help this car is driving me crazy..I went to run it tonight after filling my old mounts with polyurethane and installing traction bars they are darkstar racing basically the jimfab replica..But i'm still having severe wheel hop issues it does it just has bad in 2nd gear has 1st gear on the launch..

I filled my mounts and retuned the car last week and on the 1st pass broke the stock axle..I replaced it and tried to run it tonight getting ready for nopi next weekend after installing traction bars hoping for some decent 60's..

I'm still busting off 2.2's i got a 2.113 that was my only 2.1..

I have 205-50-15" bfg drag radials
My suspension is kyb gas struts in the front and stock struts in the back..
It has some cheesy rs racing coilovers

Could it be the suspension??

If so whats a good setup??

I'm kinda thinking mounts i can feel my motor move alittle sometimes when downshifting but the mounts are solid and vibrate my front fender..

Whats the setup?
How much power you making?
What are you launching at?
You feathering the clucth or dumping it?

I know on 225 Bfg's i cut my best of 1.9 60ft.Could have done better but ran out of time.

The motor is a b16 turbo making 343hp and 230tq

I've tried the bfg's at 8-9-10-11-12psi

My old setup on 262hp on the stock motor was cut springs on stock struts with 20x8x14" m&h slicks and busted 1.9's

I've tried launching it every way possible..I never rev it below 4.5k or over 7k though but i've rode it,feathered it and dumped with the same results..

I have'nt preloaded it because i gotta replace my rear pads and they don't hold..

The thing is the car will wheelhop pretty bad in 2nd gear..

Should my front kyb gas non adjustable front struts bounce when pushing down on the fender.. My front does'nt bounce at all not sure if that matters..The ride is'nt bad or bouncy but the front end especially the drivers side is pretty solid with no bounce when pushing down on it....

are your traction bars adjusted, or did you just bolt them in and expect them to work??

A NICE coilover suspension would help you big time. Alignment issues could be another problem

Do you have your lower Torqe mounts installed?

Did you dial in the traction bars properly. most people install them and go. but to get the full effect you need to dial them in.

No i did'nt adjust them dial in or nothing honestly i know nothing about them..I had them installed at a shop because my IC piping had to be redone.. How do i adjust them??

Can a alignment shop do it for me??

The car feels the same at the track has before the bars we're installed..The only thing i noticed is the car is harder to turn going around corners everything feels tighter and it might slightly pull to the right sometimes..

I have torque mounts all my mounts are filled with polyurethane but the torque mounts did have small tears before filling..The mounts feel stiff and rattle my car even yesterday i raised the hood and launched alittle and 2 people said the motor is not moving..

Not sure on your problem but you definitely need to adjust the bars as part of a wheel alignment.

that's pretty bad 60ft for your setup. I'm hit 1.92 60ft w/ BF goodbridge street drag radial on my turbo GSR @12psi. It could be many thing but check the alignment first (no point drag racing if the wheel is not pointing straight). Second thing, Fix that E-brake so you can Preload, I've broke several axle when launching my car and learn a lesson or two. I've not broke an axel everysince I started to Preload and that's like 1.5 year ago.

i'm gonna schedule a alignment this week hopefully they can adjust these traction bars..

I also plan to put some new rear pads in so i can preload honestly though its not gonna help the wheelhop because it does it just has bad going into 2nd gear..

I'd like to know if having 96-00 front struts and coilovers could be affecting my car i wanna get new suspension in this week if so before the alignment..
