i find the gsr gears to be way to short, itr are even shorter.

I would say try and put the itr lsd in the gsr trans im not sure if itll drop in tho, im sure someone else would know more on that.

On another note, the ITR lsd cant handle more than 300whp, it technically can if you baby it, but if you doing hard launches itll **** on you pretty quick. I picked up an OBX LSD against the better judgement of the H-T crowd and i havent regretted it at all, re-tq the casing bolts, drops right into the gsr trans, hard launch all day and it hook right up [300whp] its only like $380 and has a lifetime warranty thru obx but we know how they are....

Now im looking into the LS final drive mod

im not sure if its 300crank or wheel hp, i think its wheel...

But like i said itll hold up if you baby it, i need to make that disclaimer before the H-T bandwagon arrives saying "oh im running the ITR with 400 blah blah" yeah those people arent hard-launching, so their lsd is still in one piece.

Its not recommended for over 300whp, unless you plan to launch very carefully, but there are people making 300+ running the itr lsd..... i wouldnt want to put all that $$ and time into buying and installing the lsd just to worry about it on every launch

i say sell the itr trans, make a profit, buy an obx or if you have the cash quiafe lsd and call it a day

the itr diff will hold way more than 300hp my firend has made over 500whp one for 3 years and beat the **** out it and its still good. if you do want to use the itr diff in the gsr tranny then you got to swap the final drive.... i would stick with the gsr tranny sell the gsr and buy a quife. quife has a lifetime race warenty

wow 300hp on an itr thats rediculous, drivers kill trannys and lsd's. The ITR diff can take some descent abuse just search around some of the fastest cars are still runin a itr lsd street cars anyways.

well i stand correct i wasnt stating it as fact i just read alot of poeple who go 300+ choose quaife or other aftermarket lsds opposed to the ITR cause it cant handle the pressure

they must just suck at driving

Shortest geared tranny is going to accelerate the quickest everytime. Get a better suspension/traction setup and go with the ITR tranny.

People run open diff and stock axles running 10s. It's all in the launching of the car. And for the record....it can handle way more than 300whp if driven properly.

If you are worried about the cruising rpm, get a set of LS 5th gears and put them in the ITR tranny.
