Default Weird Problem lets see who can diagnose?

Ok, I would like to hear people opinions on this problem.

Built B16 run for more than a year (10,000 miles) no issue’s.
On boost (1.1 bar) water temps stay in high 70’s to low 80’s (Hondata log)
Lift off boost to cruise and after 20 or so seconds temps rise at an alarming rate high 90’s rising.
Put the heaters on full hot, smell of coolant and temps drop to normal within 60 or so seconds (Hondata log)
Off boost/mild pulls (road) no problem.
When cool looses about ¼ to ½ pint of coolant never any more than this.
No visible signs of water loss, no white smoke, nothing associated to HG either.
The overflow tank boiled over once in the early stages of the problem.

Checked everything over a period of 2 weeks,
Tried something and run the car to eliminate.

At this point I will add, the radiator is the stock B16 which appears to be in good conditions other than a few bent fins.

We removed the thermostat and run the car without, heypressto car doesn’t over heat
BUT
Still loosing that ¼ pint of coolant but it never seems to loose more? (weird one)

Car has run more than 30 1/4 mile runs and covered at least 1000 miles since this problem started so I don't think the HG has gone.

I think removing the thermostat is shielding the real problem but at this point I don’t know what else to try?

I’m thinking that maybe the stock cooling system isn’t able to cope with the demands so all advise would be appreciated at this stage.

well if you are scared about the head gasket, find a hydrocarbons tester. any shop should have one, and use it to see if there is combustion gasses in the cooling system. it is alot easier than ripping off the head.

We've done that too?
Last time out at the strip it didn't over heat, the thermostat had been removed but still this water loss?
I'm sure someone must have an idea, something we have not thought of, even tried all the simple things you tend to over look and get to deep
I don't know I guess these things are sent to try us

Anyone?
Must be someone that's seen this before?

The temp must be in Celsius right? They're all over the place. 60 degrees is way too cold. 87 degrees would be a good temp to run.

Do you have a thermostat? I'm gonna say no. The coolant temp should stay relatively constant. Long boost pulls could make it rise slightly depending on the shape of your current cooling setup.

Air in the system is also what I think, had 2 new rad caps both at 1.2 bar.
If it is air we just can't chase it out, it's very strange as well as frustrating, I think I've reached the point were you try all the things you know and they don't work then you start to scratch your head and loose sight a little, hence why I posted for someone to kick me in the butt and say you've missed this ya plank .
Not going to give up but running out of idea's fast, done everything twice or more now.
I've just ordered a brand new rad and pipes just in case, could be a small leak, loosing that 1/4 pint after a run is pointing to something I'm sure.
It's almost like the system is finding it's own level, strange the level drops and stays but it’s to low.
As I said before, these things are sent to try us
