Default question about wiring for a 2005 civic

yeh i have a 2005 civic and i was wondering if my car was obd1, od2, or am i an obd3 if there is such a thing.. thank you just post up..

OBD2.

All cars made after 1996 are OBD2

would a ecu from an obd2 work for the 2005 civic..?

The only ECU that will work on the d17a2, is an ECU from the 01-05 Civic.

Nobody, to my knowledge makes an aftermarket ECU or anything that will work with our cars period.

So if you need a new ECU, go to a junkyard and find an 01-05 Civic ECU and swap it out.
