thinking of buying a turbo kit now
i know most of you guys are saying not to buy a kit and make one yourself but i dont have the time nor the knowledge to piece some of this together. so i was opting to just buy a kit that just has everything i need.
i have been looking into the drag turbo kit. do you guys think they are a good kit? is there another kit better out there?
what is price is good for this or other kits available?

well Honestly you need to gain the knowledge about turbos and how everything works in the kit before you even buy a pre-made kit...As for time...if you have the money to just buy a pre-made kit you can just buy the peices and be done as quick as if you were to buy everything together...
As for the drag kit i don't like the manifold design and i believe it uses a FMU as fuel management which is fine fow lower boost but if you want to up the boost, which you will, you'll need some better fuel management...if you don't want to put the time into it just buy an SSAC kit because you might as well just go with the cheapest one out there...I don't sorry if i am coming off as an *** but just do some resarch, there is no reason you can't peice together a kit just as reliable as anyone pre-made on the market for $1500-$2000, maybe even less, most of the expense is going to be the turbo itself....
"NEW" turbo $400-$1000+
Mani $150-$600
DP $100-$300
Wastegate(if not internal) $150-$300
BOV $20-$300
IC (either FMIC or SMIC) $30-$600
IC Piping $100-$250
Chipped ECU $100
Injectors $50-$300
Misc $50
There for $1000 you could have a decent kit, prices are just estimates from what I have seen and you can also get used or rebuilt turbos too and save some money...just my opinion on this and I garuntee my HMT kit will blow the doors off of that drag kit

thanks.
i did a search but honestly i dont even know what im looking for. so a search is kinda useless to me. that is why i my options are to just buy a kit and that way i know that i wont be missing anything. such as hoses or other small things i dont even know that i need.

well if you are looking at pre-made kit look at what is included they usually tell you everything check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com there is tones of info out there, just read up on turbos in general undsertand what they do and how they work, and what each peice in the kit does, even the pre-made kits don't include everything you would need to make a good turbo kit
