Default Is a vtec head swap worth it

Whats up everybody. im new here and this is my first post so here it goes. I own a 2000 civic DX i dont have the time, or experience to perform a complete engine swap. would it be worth it to swap my sohc head with a vtec head? Im seriously considering this project but want to do some research first. Any information that you guys could give me will be very helpful.

I would say its less headache to swap in a d16y8.

if you swap the y8 head, intake mani, tranny and get bolt ons, your compression ratio will be higher than that of the y8 so you get more power. I think i seen once that you can dyno more hp than a EM1 Si with an intake

if you dont wanna go through the "hassle" of swapping motors, then yes it would be worth it. theres countless writeups on how to go mini-me.

not its not worth it...i have seen dynos of d16y7's putting down 108-110 with i/h/e with the crap manifold...i have a friend that knows a guy who hit mid 13's in a full interior working a/c,p/w,p/s and all he did was add a greddy turbo kit...and a y8 manifold...i think he was boosting 13-14lbs...and his shiet was keeping up with h22turbo hatches(traction) but hey a race is race...having traction problems is cool till you lose...hmmm.
