Default Recommended San Diego machine shops

I have the head off my car right now and looking for a shop to do some work to it. Nothing major. Just looking for a rebuild and maybe a little port and polish job along with match porting my intake mani to a B series TB. Tried searching but had no luck. Anyone have any referrals? Thanks.

If you're just doing the rebuild, vavle job, etc, try VW Paradise in San Marcos, they do great work.

San Marcos is a little too far. Anyone want to vouch for Engenuity?

Sorry for bumping an old thread but enginuity is like the worst shop you can possibly have your car worked on. For parts, sure its fine.... I live in the san diego area, im friends with a lot of people who are friends with most of the shops around here. Ive been back where they work on cars many times and watch what they do and its horrible. There all about cheap shortcuts, they wont go the extra yard to just do it right.

For installs/fab Revenge Motorsport is an awesome shop, they will tell you straight up what you need and dont take any shortcuts. You can check out the royal purple turbo miata they did in tpr magazine for dali racings nsx projects.

p.s. just dont want anyone to get ripped off at enginuity, when it comes to installs/fab **** NO. please go anywhere but there if you like you car..

What motor needs to be rebuilt? What needs to be done?
Enginuity / Pann Auto / any preformance shop in town just blows ***, learn to do the **** your self, this way these **** can't rip you off. Maybe that was a little harsh but it's true. But for machine shop,

I would take it to Cylinder Head Service. Located in the back of the Sports Arena

Your obviously ignorant... Shops have something called an overhead, your paying for there knowledge, tools, etc Sometimes people charge what they charge for a reason. Also maybe if you used your head you would probaly think of reasons why people dont work on there own cars. eg. they dont have the space, tools or time. Maybe you should think twice before making a statement that sounds like every single shop rips everyone off.

p.s. please argue with me. I know you will no matter if im right or wrong. A handful of you morons don't even own a car... lol

As for shops in San Diego, I personally would not take it there (eginuity). Back in the day, there were some good shops but now it just seems like many shops in SD just want the ricers who are sponsored by Mommy and Daddy who know nothing about thier car but just want the Fast and the Furious look.

I usually do the research myself and find a reputable shop away from SD or do the job myself.
