Default Knock Sensor

We'll be installing a 97 H22 in a 92 Prelude SI, the H22 did not come with a knock sensor and the ECU we'll be using is a Stock JDM P13, my question is, Is there a way to Bypass or Manipulate the Knock Sensor so the CEL does not come on besides chipping the ecu? Kinda like manipulating the CKF sensor or the O2 sensor? Thanks Guys

Carefully remove the knock sensor from the h23a1 that you are swapping out of the 92 Si and install it in the 97 h22a4 block. It will screw right in, the wire will already be there, and the P13 will be happy happy.

Thats your easiest solution.

So by looking at these 2 pics from the 97 H22A4, where does the knock sensor go?

the one on that block is broken. Its right above the oil filter, just to the right of the vacuum box

i thought that was it but wasnt too sure, i took that off, and it leads a tine tunnel right into the block, kinda like for crank ventilation or for coolant flow....so i guess i was right huh??

are you using the h22 engine harness or h23 harness?

the crank sensor must be plugged in. That plug/sensor tells the distributor when to fire the spark plugs so its an essential part.
