cold air install
I just got a no-name (or at least can't find one) cold air intake from a friend who had no intructions. It has two main tubes (polished), two boots, 4 clamps, a cheapy filter and a bronze support bar. It has one outlet that goes to the valve cover, but does not have one for the hose off the stock tubing near the EFI, which I think goes to the air boost valve or starting valve. I have no idea where to start, as this is my first mod ever to a honda (got the car two weeks ago for 16th birthday). I mocked it up visually, and it looks like the pipes will fit going down to the resonator. How should I tackle this job (and I will finish it sooner or later...I'm going to be my own mechanic)
I also have been working on a 64 el camino for the last two years, almost finished...(honda is for commuting)

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

did the intake come off of an accord?
you can ghetto rig anything...but that's part of the reason why the more expensive intakes are more expensive...due to the ease that which they are installed and all that...good luck being your own mechanic!...and good luck on that el camino...haha

i just put a CAI in a 92 ex, so this is the jist of it all- remove stock air filter and the screws/bolts holding it in place. take the clamp off of the air tube to throttle body connection and remove that assembly. there should be a hose running from the throttle body to the resonator box in front of the stock air filter box; disconnect hose and discard. cap the connection to the throttle body. after all of the stock shiaaat is out, put the cai in place minus the filter. hook up the tube to throttle body with clamps and connect the breather coming from the valve cover into the cai with clamps as well. i jerry rigged the hose coming across from the other side of the efi so it fit into the cai, so just do the best you can with that!hmmmmm if you want to remove the resonator box you'll have to remove the right side inner fender well and undo the two bolts holding it to the fender well. i think there was a forumt he other day dedicated to just that, so check it out bro!,,,good luck!
