Questions about methanol injection
First off my friends have been bullshitin me about geting a methanol injection kit, but i want to know what the hell it is. And yet some of my other friends say that i cant use it on my car? i dont get it..... and also whats the diffrence between methanol injection and alcohol incetion?
its used to drop temperature...ever heard of water injection? very similar..research it...i used methonol on my set up only on the track though...works great...ive never had a problem...i change my oil after each use though...ive heard about it thinning out the oil...but in my opinion it all burns off in the combustion chamber...its good to be safe though... here is a picture of the methonol kit.

You won't need meth, alcohol, or water injection until it gets to the point where you're pre-igniting while you're using the highest octane gas you can find - I doubt ur D-series turbo is up that high in hp, or is it?
Put really simply, max octane gasoline + preigniting/misfire/predetonation = meth/alcohol/water injection kit

yeah i agree...pointless if your using low boost and high octane gas..my last set up was high boost on 91 octane....im going to be tuning on c16...so i have no use for it anymore.
