Default need help please

have a 93 ls. timing belt went out on my ride and it sat for 13 months. because my mechanic said it really wasn't worth getting into the engine because valves were probably all jammed uplet it sit.last weekend had a friend help me and replaced timing belt, rotor, cap, plugs, wires distributor coil and alternator. it started and sounded good the only problem was it had no low end. it idles at about 250 rpm and if i put the pedal to the floor nothing it just continues to idle. if i push the pedal in about 1/4 after about 6 secs it will gradually get to 2500 rpm where it kicks in. I thought it could be the fuel that sat for 13 months so i added 5 gals of 93 and 2 bottles of fuel inj cleaner. drove it around to mix it up. no help. replaced fuel filter today still no change.

any ideas?

Thanks

If my valves were messed up would it still get up an go 5000 + rpm. I think it is a fuel related issue i just need some start out points. maybe the fuel pump?

Yeah I know that's why i put the 5 gallons of new and 2 btls of fuel inj cleaner. Do you think it was enough to remedy the fuel issue?
