Default Will Honda FIT wheels fit my civic?

Sorry i tried searching but didnt get anything. i was wondering if the new Honda FIT wheels will fit on a 99-00 civic. I am looking at the 15inch Fit wheels the one that comes with 195/55 tires. I currently have si rims but tires are going out. maybe time for a change. TIA

ok i found the size in classifieds in another forum. it said..."15x6JJ (4-bolt pattern, offset 55) " now how will the offset of 55 be? I know the offset of stock si rim is 48? so what do you guys think?

I'm not familiar with the FIT wheels but 4 bolt pattern could mean 4x100 or 4x114 so make sure its 4x100.

thanks... i found out its 4x100. so it should fit but i'm worried about the offset. current stock si has offset of 45 the FIT is 55. my car is lowered about 1.8" with eibach sportlines if that is of any help.

This will help solve your problem of wondering how far out they'll stick.

I decided not to get them b/c i read somewhere that in the long run, it can put unnecessary strain on the car or something like that. but anyway thanks for all the help. in case you guys wanted to know. i found a set on craigslist in San francisco. the person wanted $250 for the whole set with tires. they were pretty much brand new. anyone interested should really look it up. i thought it was a great price.

can you explain where the "unnecessary strain" on the car comes from? i don't see how the difference in offset can cause strain on the car.

running the wrong offset can put unnecessary strain on the wheel bearings/races, but i dont think itll wear em out that much faster.
