Default headbolts - SEARCHED

I searched for this and all I can come up with is pages and pages of peoples' setups of whether they used stock headbolts in their setup or ARP's.

My question is simple, on a B18C5, B18C1, B16a2, and a D16Z6, how high can your HP numbers go before you need to put aftermarket headstuds/headbolts in there? Is it measured in how much HP or how much compression for tollerance levels?

I dont know if there is a specific hp level.

I've read about guys with sohcs with simple homemade turbo kits having head lifting problems.

I know of B series guys making 300+ on stock head bolts, with no problems.
Im currently running an 11:1 compression B series that makes 277whp/251wtrq on stock head bolts(that have been reused like 3 times. lol)

So Im not sure at what point you need ARPs.

My only advice would be: They are cheap, if you are concerned about it, just throw them in for peace of mind.

What is your set up on your car?

OP, might as well just get them. Usually not a bad idea if you are boosting.

I don't have anything right now, I'm just inquiring as I'm starting to gather prices for turbo, so it's recommended aftermarket head studs?

I would.
Its just one less thing to worry about when its time to put the turbo on.
