B16a2, Compression after milling and 2 resurfaces? Clearance issue?
Heya, Im gonna buy a b16a2 pretty damn soon. I want to have the bottom end stock, with my SI head and stage 2's. I've had couple built motors before this so i had my had milled the first time, and it's been resurfaced once. The head has been laying around so im gonna get it resurfaced again.
SO how high do u think my CR is? Im not exactly sure how much they take off of the head when they resurface it, but im guessing my CR will be around 10.8?(stock 10.2) Im actually more concerned about clearance then anything, don't want anything slapping. Here's the kicker, im gonna take the stock head off the b16a2 cus it's stock. My head (also SI) I have in the garage has valve-train, so i could pay someone switch out the valve-train into the Non-milled head. IDK, what do u guys think. I know this was long but thanks for the help, it's appreciated! -Jeff

the're gonna measure it first to see if it needs it, its not gonna raise it up that high anyways. you'd have to take off alot more than that. and you wont have any clearence issues.

when you have it milled its not even in the mm range compression and clearance should not be a factor - remember to clay your motor !
