okay im doing a b16a swap into my 88 crx

but im such a newb at this and this is my first swap.

all the parts strores ask for the year and model of the car. so if you guys could help me out.

my engine code is B16a and it has pr3 written all over it in various parts of the motor.

right now im thinking its out of a 94 del sol. and i got the motor from jazzproparts.

 

There are casting numbers on the head which can be used to figure out what year and model i believe

 

yeah its b16a and then right under that theres this number 1214001 and then under that there was a MH if that is with it.

I appreciate the help but im still in the blank right now.

from that number its a 1st gen jdm b16a...and the PR3 ecu comes from the jdm da integra..

So im going to say you gotta b16a swap from the jdm da integra..

but who knows man,,cause wit my motor i found out i gotta 1st gen blocl,with a 2nd gen head,1st gen teg intake manifold,and came wit the pwo out of the ef sir...So you dont really know wit these motors,,they have so many stories

oh sorry it came in the jdm 90-91(89-90 over there) integra rsi and xsi..

for clutch get 90-91 integra,

for the obd1 ecu get a usdm 93-95 delsol vtec (rare) ,or jdm obd1 pr3,or chipped p28....

for dizzy just use any dohc vtec b-motor ..you can also make a nonvtec obd1 teg dizzy fit but gotta chop off one of the legs,,but it will work...

for a dizzy i have a msd ignition system. can i still use the same year and model to get it?. for the 5th pin for the coil.

and to do obd1 all i need is that subharness and a obd 1 ecu right?.

You'll need a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness, get ahold of rywire or boomslang. You'll also need an obd 1 ecu that Mr. Speaker listed above and a obd1 b-series dizzy, preferablely off of a dohc vtec motor for a direct fit as said above. Make sure you run a 90-91 clutch only depending if you have a jdm b16 cable tranny. If you are running a different tranny, for example, from a 92-93 integra you'll need a different clutch.
