Default cluster lights, ac panel lights [searched]

this is gay...ive been searching around since i got home tonight and i cant really find anything that matches up to my problem...
The cluster will not light up and the ac panel will not light up either..although when you press the buttons they work
I tried banging on them that usually works for the panel but not this time
I have no idea which fuse it is to check can some one help me out or have aany suggestions?

*What I think caused it was this..i was placing a cd player in to my car whhile on, and i saw a quick spark so im guessing thats what did it but who knows*

killed a fuse - check under dash fuse panel for blown fuse. you just weren't being careful enough with the acc or the constant pwr wire, i'm sure you grounded it. usually when you do that, you shouldn't be cutting wires anyway :-D

you grounded out the illumination wire on the wiring harness. I bet you are using an adapter harness to plug into your factory harness! make sure that you terminate all unused wires. Check your fuse panel under the dash. I bet you don't have tail lights on your car right now. So do what every one has told you and find the blown fuse, fix your wiring and replace the fuse with the same size one. if it blown again then there is still a problem with your wiring

same thing happened to my car....tail lights go out, cluster, and the Climate control.
I replaced the fuse and then it went again after hitting the brakes...Ended up being a lose wire in my cd player that came undone!

yeah but what im saying is that everything else that the fiuse controls is working...cluster light, panel light (besides push buttons), abd the beep noise that happens when you open your door with the lights on

Its your dimmer switch. They go bad all the time. I had the same problem and spent a while trying to figure out what was wrong. I narrowed it down to the dimmer and bought another one off of ebay and everything works great.
