Default I HAVE A WEIRD NOISE THAT GOES AWAY WHEN CLUTCH PEDAL PRESSED TO FLOOR.

i have this noise that sounds like a freaking helicopter when it idles, it'a a 1997 lx 5 speed civic, but when i step on the clutch pedal all the way down it goes away. it would not go away half way down, only when the tranny is fully disenegaged from the engine it stops making noise.

i think i can rule out a throw out bearing,

can it be a pilot or like the mainshaft bearing in the tranny in the front?

It's most likely your mainshaft bearings going out.

Yep, it's the input shaft bearing. Have fun fixing that
