Using a si cluster, where does my redline began with an LS\VTEC setup?
Depends on how well the bottom end is built, valvetrain and cams, ecu, and how well the motor was put together.
As fo launching that depends on the tires being used. I launch at about 3000 on crappy street tires and 5500 on drag radials.

Thanks for the response. You've got a b!6 and I’m sure what your launching and redlining at is totally different.
anybody else know?

i doubt your setup is built if you dont know where the redline is, I woulnd scream it beyond 7000rpm unless the bottom end has been balanced. I know for a fact the head can take the rpm but, the bottom end may not be the same. Just because its a LS/Vtec doesn't mean its a TypeR. Also, if you are going to build a motor do it right and build it before you assemble it.
