No. If you want some cheap fun, get a turbo from a WRX. It is a small TD04 and is always available for very little money. The only thing with this turbo is that it is water and oil cooled, so it requires a bit more plumbing to make it work. But, you can usually find one almost brand new for about 300 bux.

yeah either that or search Garret T25, its not too expensive at all but reliable too. It doesnt lag to start spooling, It comes stock in the Mazdaspeed Protege, and Garret is reputable. Subaru has some nice parts, WRX are niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice under the hood.....Even try Saab lol But you might experience some lag time with the truck turbo

but how much longer would it not be worth a free big *** turbo i mean im sure the lag must be in the trucks computer to smothen out the torque curve i dont think theyre going for raw power

BIG turbo on a small motor = not being able to produce much, if ANY boost.

Small turbo = possible over rotating the turbine blades and f'n something up.

You need to check and see what turbos have worked with your engine before slapping one on there for kicks.

It takes alot of research to size a turbo. So make sure if you are going to do it, that it is done right.

Was it HOLSET by any chance? Take a measurement of the wheels, a usable (medium sized) honda turbo would be around 2" for intake & exhaust wheels. That doesn't tell the whole story, but it gives you an idea.

A smaller turbo would be better for the app you just listed. Off of a Talon or GSX/GS-T Eclipse. Saab turbo would work as well, I'd stick with those sorts though.

wrx stock turboes are made by IHI, mitsubishi, volvo, and saab turbos are td04's, then you got your 14g, 15g, or 16g</TD></TR></TABLE>

the STI uses an IHI VF39, but the WRX has a little ******** TD04-13T or something like that.
