Directly bolts up: D series

Directly wired: D16A6, SOHC ZC, DOHC ZC, OBD0 LS engines (this ones a B series tho, you would need mounts and driveshafts, the rest is stock)

DOHC ZC is the most powerful one that will 'just drop it'. Match it to your stock Si tranny (short geared) use stock driveshafts, voila.

not. will fit but you need mounts, axles, shiftlinkage etc. going to be more than $1500.

get a d16a6 or a SOHC 88-91 ZC.

ahhh not even close to a DIRECT fit. Best bang for your buck and something that will just about drop in would be a ZC.

I ran my lude 14.8. Fastest DOHC ZC I've seen around my area was 15.4 on the 1/4.

Would put up a fight, but I think the ZC would lose.

As long as the motor doesn't come from a truck (CRV), has a USDM counterpart, and is the same year as the chassis or newer, you can swap the motor. So yeah, you can swap an B18 as long as you run the emissions correctly and the motor isn't older than your car. You also have to convert to whatever OBD the motor is.

So, you can't run a '91 B18 in a '92 Civic but you can run any '92+ B18. If you run a B16, you have to be set up like a '94-'95 Del Sol VTEC or '99-'00 Civic Si. And so on.
