swapping a h22a into a saturn
i am thinking about swapping a prelude engine into my 1995 saturn sc1 and was wondering if anyone knew the dimensions for the h22a or if you have ever heard of anyone getting a honda engine into a saturn
Besides the fitment there are quite a few other things you need to worry about. Wiring, axles, electronics. A H22a is not going to just plug into your saturn harness. You would need hubs that would fit the h22 axles. You can't just slap a different cars engine in there and expect it to work. With a lot of work, it might work, but that is a big might.
I would stick with a chevy...the new Cobalt SS, I believe, will swap into your car, it's like 240BHP. I know there are a LOT of Z-24's, NA, doing well over 200 HP. I think the idea of an H22, in a Saturn is cool, but for what it will cost you, your best bang for the buck will be in a motor that will bolt right in.
