Default Supercharging an H22A?

I know a lot of people out there say that you can't supercharge an h22a mainly because it wont fit in the engine bay. But I have also heard that it is possible to supercharge it.

I've always entertained the idea of a supercharger over a turbo because it seems a lot safer for someone who fears the idea of a blown engine due to something not working for a split second.

Basically my question you guys is, is it worth it to supercharge an h22a? Or is turboing just the way to go (with a built block: pistons sleeves rods etc...)?
