Restarting problem
Got a b20 w/b16 head. I will be running the car for any amount of time 1hr-4hrs. When i shut it off and try and restart the car will not restart until it cools down. i.e ( when i try to restart the engine. it will crank, but not turn over) soo.... I do know its getting fuel cause the pump is turning on. However i dunno if its getting spark. I think it could be the coil or ignitor , but the coil is only like 2 months old so. I have no idea, any help would be great. My question is basically has anyone had a problem like this..? thanks
First, check for spark. If you've got spark, I would suspect a 'hot soak restart' problem. The TW sensor gets flakey and tells the ECU the engine is cold which results in flooding. The TW sensor is not the same one that feeds the dash temp gauge. Usually, it's the one right underneath the distributor.
my car has been doing the same thing....before and after i did the swap. I always thought it had to do with the fuel pump.
I just leave my car idleing if i know i'm gonna be leaving quick...

So what do i do with the TW sensor like how do i check if its no good..?
and hate to sound like an idiot but what is a "tw" sensor.
