rpm guage off :( and didnt know lol
Well some guy turns in the middle of the intersection as i was turning right, so to not get the guy pissed even tho it would be his fault i sped up really fast when and i got to 6k in 2nd and it sounded like redlineng so right when i was about to shift the whole car bogs down and goes to like 4.5k and i was like wtf i wasnt even at redline how could I have gotten to like 7k ish... Am i that much of a newb where my car is suppose to stop me at 6k exactly? lol or are my stupid guages off? they arent stock
When I get my digi camera later tonight ill take pics of the car on and off n stuff. So i was just making sure its my guages off, you will see the pics.. (90 integra hatch b18a just i/h/e done to it)
And how bad was that for the car if i was actually at like high 7k's ??? ;p

did the check engine light some on? if u hit a rev limiter it owuld just stop revving and make a na na na na na sound. unless if yours lets you rev it out. that i am unsure of. it sounds like the car went into limp mode. limp mode wont let you rev over 4-4.5k its different in different hondas.
Check engine light did not come on...It drove perfectly fine afterwards
Now my car is overheating, but i have anti-freeze in there, and fan comes on, but my car still says its overheating, im almost positive the guage is stuck, but im afraid to drive it if it is really 3/4 to the right, thats pretty hot...
Any suggestions besides taking them out? (the guages) they aren't exactly "fun or easy" to get to...

Also forgot to mention that the car went back up to over 5 after the bounce down thing fine and runs fine, but now 2weeks after that my car is overheating, or maybe the guage is fucked, right now i just got home from driving very slow home with the heater on and its 85 degrees outside (not fun) and i go to start it up, and to me it feels and seems too hot, but its still at 3/4 the guage never moves when i start it up or when its off.... I dont get it, is there a way to check the actual temp with a different guage or something from autozone....?
That is what i plan on doing but could my temp sensor on the radiator be reading wrong... before I go buy new guages and install them next weekend I would like to know if its safe to drive

yea prolly, but i put them in over 5months ago, why would the temp guage be reading all the way right now...
The tach i know is f'ed up from me installing the guages, but the temp thing i dont understand why its goin to the right maybe it has nothing to do with the guages??
