i got hit by some dumb bitch. and well she smased the front of my car. and it didnt hurt the engine but now its sputtering like the timing if off. but its not, it has new plugs. but why all of the sudden would it start running like crap?

 

what cels are showing up?

 

Got coolant?

Did it smash the front enough to screw up the radiator... and then you were driving around overheating the engine...

 

Ceramic plugs crack on harsh impact. You might only be getting half a spark.

Sensors crack on harsh impact too, you might of fried some sensors.

Look over everything, check CEL.

 

Could have jumped the timing belt off a few notches. I hope your radiator is not fubared.

exactly..when a car is hit, all kinds of problems with electrical gremlins can surface. It will never be the same again without a THOROUGH going over and sensor/relay replacing.

yup air in the cooling system will make your car ran like ****.. i would also check if you any CEL

 

after the wreck.
then i cut of the whole front end

and i replaced it all and now it looks like this



but the timing is good. and i got new plugs in it, it may be the dizzy, but its not throwing any codes.
but my dome lights on my gauge cluster went out but my headlights still turn on.

its being a real piece of crap...

check out the cap and rotor and such too. i bought a crashed Si hatch and it ran for **** until i replaced the coil, rotor and cap.

 

Check your fuses. I bet some are gone from under the dash to make the dome light die and such.

 

well the batery died on my way home from work today. so now i gotta replace something else to...

could have melted off timing. it happens when the bearing goes. engine runs like crap, if at all.

YES!!! HAPPENED TO ME!!! I had to scrape the damn rotor off wiht a screwdriver and get a new one on.

 

i replaced the cap and rotor today. but ran out of time and had to go to work. so im gonna work on it some more tomorrow.. i'll keep it updated

 

well the reason it died on me was the alt... so i got it running again. i gave it a tune up and it is running a little better, but i think its my map sensor is going out. we'll see when i get more time to work on it. and i did some more body work to it,
