whats speed the ABS actives?
you obviously dont understand ABS.
ABS is active at all speeds, it activitates when it detects one or more of your wheels are locked up during braking. depending on the system and car it will activate sooner or later after detecting lock-up. 'sport tuned' ABS usually activate later to still give the driver a little more sense of control, but comes in to save his *** if he ***** up.
and why do you want to test it? if you really want to test it find a empty road with a shoulder consisting of gravel or dirt. have one side of your car on the pavement and the other on the gravel/dirt and drive to about 20-30mph and slam on your brakes, the wheel in the gravel/dirt will lock-up and ABS will kick in.

I've heard it kicks in over a certain mile per hour actually, not sure what it is but some people have problems with it and the brake light in the dash won't come on until a certain mph they go over

OK, someone is pullin your leg, the light should never come on until the computer sees a problem.
It can work at all speeds, but on the bad side, if the pedal vibrates only below about 10 MPH then you are getting ABS activation due to a bad Wheel Speed Sensor.

i totally worded that completely wrong.
I meant to say, i've heard that if you're having the brake light come on due to the abs being bad or whatever, if you go under a certain speed it won't come on because its not engaged yet. But i dunno i could be wrong.

If the ABS light comes on the ABS Computer disables the entire system. You are saying your brake light comes on, what does it look like. Are you also saying that on your car there is no "ABS" idiot light???

Don't quote me on it but i think the light will blink if the ABS is activated for an excessive amount of time like stopping on an icy hill or something

Yeah, if you put extreme pressure on the brake pedal, the pedal will vibrate and bounce a bit, and in the car I did Driver's Ed in it made a noticeable thudding sound. If you've driven a car on ice without ABS and then one with, haha I think you'd notice when it does/doesn't activate
(woot for no ABS)
