Hey guys I'm having trouble with my eg vic. Lately, and once in while, the car dies on me while driving (usually when I'm stopped but in gear). I try restarting it but doesn't start (it cranks and it feel slike it's 95% there, but doesn't start). I can continue trying but it won't restart until I wait 2 minutes and then start it is when it works again and drives fine the rest of the day.

Also, last week I try starting it one morning but suprisingly it wouldn't start (same symptoms as above). Again, I had to wait several minutes and then it finally started0.

Any ideas?

 

i had a similiar problem a few months ago, but when i was driving it and when i put it in nutural, it would just die and it would take a few mins. to restart.... problem for me was i needed a new dizzy(distributor)... just a though

 

sounds just like the weird issue i'm having right now. sometimes i just can't start the car, but when its goin, it goes. sounds like dizzy to both of us. haha

 

when the car doesnt start, can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key to the aux position? if not then more than likely its the main relay since the car doesnt start sometimes. if you can hear the fuel pump priming everytime then it might be the coil or ignitor in the distributor
