Okay so anyone who has seen this thing knows it's adjustable. But my question is:

One you have it adjusted, should it be welded? The reason I ask is because I'm trying to quiet my exhaust down some, and though I know a test pipe contradicts the whole quiet exhaust thing, I feel I still have options...

So if I weld it will it be quieter due to less leaking? I guess I could stainless steel tape it and see if that works...

 

I have not noticed any leaking on mine. I think when it gets hot, the metal expands so it really does not leak.

 

you want to quiet down your exhaust by removing the catalytic convertor? Or is it already out? Because that will only make it louder. The test pipe wont change the decibal's at all. If anything it will be louder.

 

my test pipe hasnt leaked at all and honestly it really wasnt that much louder than the cat was, no bad smell either.

u can weld, but really it shouldnt leak, and soon after u have installed it carbon build up should seal it. weld it if u want.
