Default HID question! please help

ok guyz, i just picked up a set 4300K HID and i just had it installed. the problem is the driver side (USDM 98 front), is slightly yellowish compared to the passenger. it drives me freakin crazy! i thought something was wrong with the kit, but i switched the passenger side to the driver side and vis versa...... the driver side was still yellowish. what do you guyz think it is? you think i should just go to my local acura dealership and purchase another driver side headlight housing? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

there are some stuff at advance auto parts or checkers that you can use to clean up your headlight. Its probably just dirty.

it could be dirty but sometimes( like many OEM hids do) they look a little yellowish depending on the angle ur looking at it. mine had the same thing. my headlights werent dirty...after a while when the bulbs are starting to get more wear into them...the colors will match up and actually turn bluer. in the beginning they look yellow but over time they will clear up and turn white/blue...happened to me...nothing to worry about...

btw 4300k is not pure white...its supposed to have a yellowish tint to it...thats why...if it was a 6000k then it would be more white.

4300K is not yellow, maybe just a touch when new but for the most part they are pure white, slightly blue-ish. That's how mine are. 6000K is straight blue and ghey as hell

Clean the outside first, there's a kit you can pick up at the local auto store.

if u read my post i said "a tint of yellow at angles" and its true...just like oem hids...they can give out different colors when looking at them different ways....and yea 6000k are gay but theyre more white/ blue than 4300k...the best thing is retrofit...with tsx projectors but itll be a little more costly than just a plug and play kit.

stock halogen projectors don't put out any color, though, like the blue color band at the edge of the cutoff you get with HID projectors.

very true cuz when i had my stock halogen projectors...i noticed that..however the color that is viewed can sometimes vary on either...with my tsx projectors i notice that sometimes it gets yellow depending on the way i look...people sometimes ask me if i got my hids stolen...lol but its just the way the light output is seen,...against the wall, the cutoff is full of color

umm yes... okay maybe not straight blue, but the light it puts on the ground is more blue than my 4300K which puts white light on the ground.

I will always hate on anything over 4300K. That's just me. Don't take it too personal

I see wayyyyy too many aftermarket HID setups around here and every one of them is pure junk. I hate on every single one of them.

4300K in retrofitted HID projectors is the ONLY way to go that is worth a damn IMHO.

like patrickgsr said before...The ONLY way hids look and perform the best in an integra is a retrofit...u cannot get better than that...so my advice is to not spend money on plug and play kits because theyre not worth the 300 or whatever dollars people pay for them...just buy a set of tsx projectors with 4300k bulbs, ballasts and connectors and wire it up...u can def see the difference in light output...OEM is best...

Have you thought to see if the lights are level? Because if they aren't you might be seeing more of the color from the color of one light than the other.
