Got a free accord muffler today and was thinking to myself wether or not that it was worth to modify to put on my car or just sale it. what do you guys think?

How big is the inlet on the muffler? If it's bigger than a civic's it probably would flow better than stock, but be almost as quiet. But overall I don't think you'll see much of a HP difference.

 

Off topic, stock Honda exhausts are not worth **** when it comes to selling them. I tossed a mint 97 Civic EX coupe exhaust in the trash complete from the manifold back. I tried to even give it away and still no takers

appears to be the same but i would have to modify it so i would have to change the pipe

Eh, I don't know. Looks like too much modification would be invovled for not much more gain.

umm your dead wrong man. Stock exhausts are worth a good 200 at least. Alot of people throw away their stock exhausts, but their in a world of hurt when they get an exhaust ticket. A friend of mine used to make a ton of money putting loud exhausts on hondas and then charging alot to put a a quite one back on after they threw away the stock one and they got a fat ticket.

Well no one responded when I had it listed on craigslist and here and I even had free in the headline of the ad. I have an Apexi WS so I'm not worried about exhaust tickets

lol i just took my muffler OFF my stock d16y8 and it sounds pretty good, wondering how i can get that sound but quieter, maybe hollow the muffler out a bit and re-install it? Or add another resonator? i like the deep tone, but its slightly too loud for my taste.....

yeah it sounds nice but a little too loud for my liking as well, plus my valve stem seals are leaking so i smoke even more

 

how do i keep that sound and just be a little quieter, do you know?

where do i install the volume ****? to make the exhaust quieter, lol
