Latly I have been noticing what looks like dust on the back bumper of my car. Everyday I clean it off but its there anytime after i run it. It is no where else on the car accept there. I was worried that the car might be burning oil but im not sure. Today i did a compression test and everything came out ok. Im just a little bit concerned about this can anyone help.

 

I think thats normal. The bumper is always the dirtiest part of my car, always dirt or dust on it.

 

Im almost 100% positive its not dirt. I dont know if it would be fuel burning or what

 

Is it over the entire bumper, or is it just around the exhaust?

 

more towards the exhaust but it is all over the bumper

whenever i clean my car and drive, the sill of the rear bumper is the first thing to get dirty ... i wouldn't worry about it ... chances are it's just dust

 

My back bumper always has A LOT dust on it too. When I wash the car an hour later the back bumper is really dirty and the rest of the car is still really clean. I think it is because it is a flat surface and dust collects on it more than the vertical surfaces of the car. I think it is probably normal.

 

Ya ive noticed every time i clean my car , within a few hours the back bumper has a small layer of dust too.
