i have a second gen b16a in my eg hatch
when i start the car it idles quite high (2ish) then bounces down then up until it warms up, then i have a nice quiet idle.
ive checked my vaccuum hoses and cleaned the iacv.
any other ideas?

 

most cars stay at high idle when it first starts to warm up the motor, my moms old accord used to do that and so does my gsr and my old EP. it wasnt bouncy tho, just stayed a lil high till it got warmer then dropped back to normal.

 

And mine does just the opposite. I have to keep blipping the throttle on a cold start so it won't die, but after it's warmed up, it idles fine.
