Considering B20 Turbo...need help
So I was already planning to put a b16 head on my b20, but for some reason, i'm just changing my mind and wanna go turbo. I already have a b16 head, dizzy, IM, Golden Eagle vtec kit, and just missing ecu, arp head bolts and rod bolts. If I do go turbo, I only wanna boost 5 lbs. I dont really wanna do any work on the motor. 5 lbs should be fine for a stock b20 right? What else would I need for the turbo setup other than the snail, turbo manifold, charge pipes, bov, wastegate, and intercooler?
Another question, any way the intercooler can be painted black? I dont wanna attract attention from po po's.
One last question, what's a base map, or a check valve?

you can boost any stock motor with good tuning. tuning is key
..i suggest sleeving the block, so that your block can withstand more pressure and boost, incase you want more...trust you will!, upgrade the fuel system, fuel pump, bigger injectors, etc.. run hondata s200b chipped ecu, dyno-tune. you paint the ic without any problems you can go to any hardware store some places have paint specially made for intercoolers/radiators due to the the way it bonds. GL!

would the b20 be ok to do a stock boost with good tuning? i don't want to resleeve.

most definitely...like above tuning is key!, find a reputable tuner whose tuned b20 turbo, only problem you may encounter is that they have thin cylinder walls..so might blow your motor if you boost too much..but you should be fine on stock sleeves. tune everything to point..and you'll be happy
