Default Engine temp at WOT

Sometimes when i drive and hit WOT with my 98 EDM ITR my engine temp starts to drop, and it drops about 2 and a half marks on the temp meter while in WOT. And then when i´m not driving at WOT the temp goes back to normal. The only engine mods i have on my car right now are a Apexi Power filter and a Supersprint header. The car runs perfect. I allways warm up my car before i start to hit WOT. Does anyone of you have this problem? Any ideas?

Sorry for my bad grammar

Maybe at WOT the air thats hitting the motor is cooloing it down. Is this on the autobahn at high speeds?

Thanx for the reply!

This happens ONLY when VTEC kicks in. Normally when i drive fast the engine temp is normal. I have changed the termostat recently with a new OEM one. (We have no Autobahn here in Finland)
