ecu recommondations
any one have some good recommondations on ecus for a b18c1 that will be running buddy club spec 3 cams dual valve springs titanium retainers and more then likely flat head valves. would it be better to get some other type of ecu then the stock one if so which one or would i just be better off chipping the stock ecu and if so which chip lol.
thanks guys.

the stock gsr intake manifold has iabs (secondary butterflies), if you swap it out with a skunk2/aebs/jg/blox/etc. they are styled after the oem itr/b16a single stage manifolds. People who are all motor typically go with a single stage manifold, but not all. If you have a GSR, then your stock ecu is a p72. Only the obd1 ecu is chippable/tunable. Here's how all the years and obd breaks down:
92-95 civics/integras: obd1
96-98 civics/96-99 integras: obd2 version A
99-00 civics/00-01 integras: obd2 version B
So if your car is obd2, which ever version, you will have to get an obd2A or an obd2B-to-obd1 ecu conversion harness, then look for an obd1 dohc vtec ecu. PM me if you have any more questions.
