I read a post from awhile back, shomeone said that there are oil cooler lines fittings on earlier gen GSR motors, I don't know if this is true or not but, it would be nice if it was.

the 94+ GSR engine does not have your normal engine oil cooler you find on most cars.

the oil cooler it uses is attached to the back of the block. it's used as an oil filter adapter and coolant is run through it to help keep the oil cooler....to me its a shitty idea since the coolant will get just as hot as the oil in most cases anyway.

#11 in this image is what honda calls an oil cooler:

Only the 94-95 models years (OBD1) for USDM GSRs had the oil cooler. It is he same as the ITR oil cooler.

To install this oil cooler, you need to switch the water pipe as well.

Yes, that's exactly how my '95 GSR was.

Yeah I was talking with a couple of buddies last night and they showed me that crazy oil cooler that the oil filter attaches to. My next question is where would it be optimal to place the oil cooler, i.e. where in the system. and does anyone have any pics of thier installs?

You typically buy a kit that installs between the oil filter and the engine block like the factory oil cooler. The other option is to use an oil filter relocation kit. Consider adding a thermostat to divert oil away from the cooler when the engine is cold.

The design is good. It is meant to be useful when the engine is run hard. The oil temps can get up above 250 degrees. With the coolant at 200, the oil is being cooled effectively.

Don't knock what you don't understand.
