Default Oil cooler Tech.

I was wondering about the factory oil coolers that come on some honda motors.

I have an extra oil cooler on one of my motors and I want to transfer it onto my built Z6. I'm wondering If these things actually work and if it's worth having it on there in the first place.

I'm also gonna run my oil line to my turbo through a small oil cooler of it's own.

feel free to comment on weather this is a waste of my time or not.

Use your coolant tube from the back of the block, weld a nipple onto the tube. Get a GSR/Type R OEM oil cooler and put it on, use the added nipple on the tube for the GSR/Type R oil cooler for coolant. Easiest thing next to buying an oil cooler kit.

Just take your oil feed from the oil pressure hole, drawing cooler oil for the turbo really wont do very much at all.

Which engine has the oil cooler? The only motors I know that come with the OEM oil coolers were selected GSR and All type R engines

I know the D16A6 and ZC both have the oil coolers on the back How effective are these really?

Yeah this is from a VX as well .

Hey BoostedHybrid, I wasn't asking how to do it I was asking weather the factory oil coolers where efficint enough for me to bother with it. I am going to be using another heat exchanger placed in-line with my oil send for the turbo in combination with the factory unit.
