so i took apart the starter right, or at least tried. you know how there are two long skinny bolts holding the actual motor part to the housing? i tried taking them out, and i thought i was, but the ends snapped off in the housing. anything i can do other than getting a new starter?

as for the trans, i just finished putting everything back together (motor swap, H23 to H23, old one blew). i thought i did a great job of keeping everything organized, but i have a bracket mounted to trans with nothing on it. its directly to the left of the slave cylinder. i think its just a wire/hose harness bracket, but i wanna be sure.

well depending on what you broke on the started you may just need a new one. and the bracket to the left of the slave cylinder is for the batery cable holder

 

try using an ez out on the bolts, but it probly wont work. and the bracket is for the upper radiator hose
