Hey, I'm in mid build of a B16. I forgot how many miles where on it. but i know it ran beautifully before it was pulled from the previous car. The whole thing is being re-built so it's not that big of a deal i guess. I'm changin the whole valve train, and was wondering if I should change the valve guides aswell or if the stock ones will hold up?

 

are you talking about valve guide seals??

 

Not trying to be a hard ***, but why would you tear a head down, rebuild it, and install it, all to just have to tear it all down again to replace a set of 6-10 dollar parts........

Its like replacing the water pump on our Hondas, but not putting in a new timing belt in the process.

Do it while you are in there, save yourself time, money, and effort.
